Pixel 7 Pro and Battery Share

Battery Share keeps turning itself off. I tried topping off my Pixel Buds A series which the case is at 89%. My phone is at 77%. The buds are at 100%.

Shouldn't battery share stay on and attempt to charge the case to 100%?

I go back into the battery settings and keep finding that battery share is turned off.

The phone is running Android 14.

Does anyone else have this issue? I could send feedback to Google....

I might need to just run the case charge level down some. When I open/close the case, the LED is white, not amber. Could be that the case isn't discharged enough for the battery share to kick in.

I have to test once my pixel 7 pro gets Android 14 , was there a problem on Android 13 that you know of?

IME, this feature is SUPER sensitive.
I tried to charge my daughter's iPhone recently, on a trip, and failed miserably. Both charge wirelessly just fine, and I could get it to start, but after a minute or two it'd turn itself off. Gave up after maybe 6-8 tries.
Yes, both phones were in cases (and both wireless-charge fine in them), so I guess it's possible that the combination of two cases was simply too much, I suppose...

With Android 13, battery share worked fine. This was with my phone in a Spigen case. I haven't had a chance to run my earbuds down a bit and try again...

I don't think the Pixel Buds A support witless charging? Regular Pixel Buds do, but I don't think the A series has wireless charging?
