Hi all,

I have an Optimus V on Optimus S firmware. I know what you're thinking: what the heck?? Well, I actually get better service on zvd and I'm convinced I get better on zvj while I've briefly used it on stock. But also, I can run basically any Optimus rom on zvj.

But before I can do that, I have to first root zvj! So I have zvd rooted. I've tried this using both gingerbreak and the optiauto tool. Both of these worked and I definitely had root!

I started on rooted stock zvd.

Next, I used the Optiauto tool to install the zvj update.zip. After this I re-enabled debugging and booted to recovery again using optiauto. Then I installed the update.zip. This gave me the expected error exactly. After this, I ran the exploit on optiauto(the last step to root zvj).

This is what I got on the command prompt.

Code:
Installing persistent root... write: No space left on device
write: No space left on device
write: No space left on device
write: No space left on device
Done
Waiting for filesystem to sync... Done

Installing Recovery - Xionia CWMA... write: No space left on device
Done
Waiting for filesystem to sync... Done

Installing Misc - Clean... write: No space left on device
Done
Waiting for filesystem to sync... Done

---- END LOG ----

On my phone in recovery, I got
Code:
E:Can't find command file CACHE: recovery/command
Installation aborted. no valid image in CACHE

This did not install root for me. I've tried it multiple times.
Can anyone help me?

Before anyone says it can't work on the V I thought I'd post here because I successfully run rooted zvj on mine. Used optiauto as well but for me it went through without a hitch. If anyone has any ideas it'd be appreciated. Thanks

Try optiauto from a different computer maybe? Just drawing at straws...

Just a bump and an update for this thread we did teamviewer and only got to the same error as the OP. It's the strangest thing... Nothing was done differently then on mine but for me it went through without a hitch. Sammyz also rooted his OV zvj this way with no trouble
