ok, so this is a two for one question...different year models in the same a8.0 line.

I have an sm-t290(android 11 os) and an sm-t380(android 10 os), and I would like to mirror my screens to my roku express 3900x, preferably without using extra software, but if software is called for, free(and preferably ad-free) software.

does anyone have any ideas there?

Don't the tablets have smart view in the drop down menu/quick toggles. That should be able to cast to a Roku if it has it.

Otherwise I've never needed a 3rd party app, every Samsung phone and tablet I've owned can do it natively, although I've never owned an A series device so it may be a feature that's missing.

I've looked..if theres a function toggle on these samsung tablets..I cant find it.

My Note 8 and Note 20 have smart view in the drop down, so does my old Tab S2. It might be hidden, if you tap the 3 dots for setting and adjust button order it may be there.

If it's not hidden Samsung may have removed it from those devices. They were retiring Smart View in 2020 in favor of Smart Things. It's a free Samsung app that should be easy to find in the PlayStore. If Smart Things doesn't work I'm not able to suggest an alternative as I've never needed one.
