Screen mirroring

Hi... I am unable to screen cast/mirror my pixel screen to my LG tv with no internet connection.
With a Chromecast device I can get it to work but when I disconnect my internet the Chromecast is no longer visible in my pixel. I reconnect the internet and it works. I need it to work without the internet. With my galaxy s9 it worked perfect with no internet.

When we had an internet outage, I would screen mirror Hulu live from my s9 to my LG TV. I want to do the same with my pixel and a Chromecast device.

Anyone get this to work with a pixel 4a 5g phone and no internet?

I think the problem is that your TV uses Miracast for direct mirroring, which Pixel phones don't support. What's the exact model number of the TV?

Yes Samsung uses Miracast and Pixel doesn't. It uses chromecast which requires the internet.

At my cabin I create a hotspot with my Pixel and allow the Chromecast to connect to it. Then I can stream through it to my TV, albeit using cellular data.
