Service issue on galaxy A21

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so here goes. I recently had my charging port replaced and a couple days later i cant get any service. I am with Metro by t-mobile. I can get service intermittently ONLY when I am IN or CLOSE to a Metro store. As soon as I get close to home and my Wi-fi kicks in, my mobile service stops. When I disconnect wi-fi i have no service whatsoever. I have spoken with customer service and they have assured me that it is NOT a device issue but a service issue. but this has gone on for over two weeks with no resolution. I have put in a different SIM card (at the metro store) and it worked until I got home. I have tried resetting my networks and customer service has done at least 2 network device refreshes with no resolution. I guess my question(s) is this: can it be repaired?, do i need to get a new phone?, is it really a service issue?, will a SIM card from another carrier work? Thanks in advance for any responses
