I just got the Xperia 1 V and starting to learn some of the ins and outs of it. Last night the northern lights were visible over much of the U.S, even in some southern states! I'm in Wisconsin, but in a city with a lot of light pollution and couldn't see them with the naked eye. I decided to try the phone with a night mode picture and you can sorta make the northern lights out. They were more of a green and purple hue all over the night sky, not the typical dramatic curtains of light most people imagine.
