The SIM card issues occur because the card is too thin and the contacts on the card do not make adequate contact with the contacts inside the phone. Replacing the phone or the card will not solve it. The card is too thin and the slot is too wide. You have to make the card thicker with pieces of scotch tape on the non-contact side of the card. I used 2 pieces of tape over a year ago and it solved the problem. The card is now wedged against the contacts inside the phone. I wish Verizon techs knew of this fix. It would save a lot of aggravation for everyone involved.
