overall coming from a note 8 that gave me some issues and having to return the device twice it's running pretty smooth my S9 plus. with Samsung there's always a honeymoon phase the first month or two the device runs smooth and after that I do notice it's very buggy and this is coming from a long time Samsung supporter
Makes me wonder what you are installing that may be a factor. After a Note 7, an S7 Edge, and a Note 8, I have not experienced even the slightest bit of bugginess. They have been completely solid. My wife's LG phones, on the other hand, seem plagued with problems. I was surprised she went for another one, but it doesn't look like she will be getting one this time. She is actually interested in the S9+ this time.

My s9plus is flawless, after I ran it in the first day the second day was so smooth and fast and the battery doesn't die on this thing. Best phone I've ever used!

Majority of the people complaining are people coming from a S8, Note 8,Pixel 2, etc. Expecting to see a huge dramatic change in performance. Unless these manufacturers can come up with something truly groundbreaking that's super useful and not just a gimmick then upgrading every year is just not worth it for your average user. When 5G is fully implemented it'll be interesting.

That's about it.

The reason why I would prefer the s9 over the s8 is because of the fingerprint scanner placement on the s9. That and the minor upgrades which provide a somewhat of a newer experience...

As someone previously said I am not condoning negativity, just want something for everyone to say about the phone that they like/love. I got mine yesterday, also got the IconX 2018 edition and can say they are the best sounding buds I've used and are pretty comfy for my tiny ears. If people have issues with the phone or feel like they need help solving a problem I don't mind it at all, though some people seem to be trolling a bit. I just was hoping to hear about some cool things that maybe I, or others, would like to try out if they weren't in the know about certain things. It's how I heard about Tasker, some awesome Launcher icons and themes and a whole lot more. Keep it coming guys and gals!

Got my S9+ yesterday and love it. I am using the Sprint variant and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it set up and how quickly it was ready to use.
I quickly uninstalled the sprint bloatware and disabled the caller id crap.

I am coming from an S7 here!

And for folks wondering, hotspot via Shortcut Master is working just fine!

Got mine yesterday. T-Mo S9+ in black. Traded in from a V20, and I have used LG for probably 6 years prior. I have to say there is a lot to love about this phone. Sure, there's a learning curve for the UI (which isn't bad, just different), but so far the experience has been great for me. The screen is great... The health stuff is nice... Camera seems to be amazing so far, and this thing is FAST. Biggest issue for me will be to stick with Google Pay or to go with Samsung Pay.

I'd say go with S Pay because of the rewards and it is available in more places because of the MST capabilities. I used it at Kroger last night on a normal credit card machine without Tap to Pay capabilities and it worked like a charm. Getting $10 a month in free money is awesome.

Same here. Me and the wife are rocking V20 but we both get our Samsung's today. She gets the plus, I get the normal. And I hadn't thought about that with Pay, because since the inclusion of Chip cards, I use Google Pay a lot. Its really fast now

There is no perfect phone, and never will be. this is simply because phones are designed for as big a market as possible with conflicting wants and needs.

We feel disappointed because we got used to groundbreaking features every year; phone technology is becoming mature, products will have more marginal upgrades, just like our laptops.

S9 is a good phone, maybe it's just not the phone for you

It's an Samsung experience feature. I never notice any android OS features. The ones that are always stand out and useful are Samsung's software.

It's an Oreo feature, otherwise how do you explain it being on my Nokia 8?

The main reason why you never see any Android OS features is because of all the customisation that Samsung do to the OS, trust me GIFs in the stock messaging and keyboard are a standard Oreo feature NOT a Samsung Experience feature.

I'm loving the s9... Speakers are amazing and it's a huge upgrade from the s7. Love the Coral Blue color also! I always go black so I switched it up and was nervous but it's a dark blue not what the pics were showing.
