I'm on Amazon looking for new phones and I really like the asus zenfone 9 and the Sony 1iv but say gsm network only will not work on cdma network fully unlocked. How can it be fully unlocked if it doesn't work on cdma network? Also does it even matter anymore if it works on the cdma network since cdma and gsm networks have been removed and now there is 4g or 5g networks only?

Check this out! https://a.co/d/iBo0eDW

Looking for a phone to use the ldac in it. Is ldac same in all the phones or is there better models than others for the ldac?

Fully unlocked doesn’t mean that it is guaranteed to work with all carriers. It simply means there is no sim lock on the phone so it can be used with any compatible carrier.

Verizon and sprint don’t have cdma anymore, but the phone still has to support the 4g and 5g bands that are used by them, otherwise the phone won’t work.

If all I care about is great sound quality, fast phone, ok pictures would the samsung s23 normal be worth it ? Great sound using ldac on samsung. I have been trying phones for 2 weeks now and can't make up my mind. I own a samsung note 9. Been a great phone. I hate that samsung doesn't give u everything the snapdragon 8 gen 2 can do. same bull they pull on there tv's. I tried a moto edge plus 2022 model. I hated the size of it. I really hated the back button being on the left side of teh screen. I still can't understand why we can't just move the buttons when we want. I would try the pixel 7 if there was a to move the back button.

Is there any sony models or asus models that amazon sells that work with verizon network?
Some quick Google searching regarding the phone linked above gives us:
the phone specs (expand the network section to see the bands supported) - https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_1_iv-11521.php
4G bands used in the US - https://www.phonearena.com/news/Che...on-T-Mobile-and-Sprint-use-in-the-USA_id77933
5G bands in the US - https://www.phonearena.com/news/5G-...-AT-T-vs-Sprint-vs-T-Mobile-vs-World_id116781

Interpret this info however you wish.

So from what I'm understanding your saying if the bands overlap the phone will use the Verizon bands?
It's not quite that simple, because a phone has to be certified by the carrier as well, and Verizon and AT&T are notorious for being somewhat picky about what phones they allow on their network.

For Verizon, see if this compatibility checker helps (but you need the IMEI to finish it): https://www.verizon.com/sales/prepaid/byod.html. You might want to send a message to the Amazon seller to see if they can help you with the Verizon compatibility check.

The seller states not for Verizon network. So would the s22 or s22 plus worth buying until more 8 gen 2 phones come out or should I buy the s23 base model? I really want to stay at a 6.2 inch screen size. I really liked the oneplus 11 but not sure I can trust oneplus.
