Updating the PRL ruined my service reception!

Yesterday I updated my PRL from 60675 to 60676. But I realized that I had noticeably worse reception than I used to. I'm experiencing dropped calls like never before! Can I have my old PRL back?!?

Are you on a stock ROM?
For a while now a lot of people with EPICS have had problems getting their PRLs to update using the updater. Those of us running custom ROMS have an even harder time.

I heard 60678 was out and a few minutes ago i tried to update mine and it said the update was successfull however it still shows 60676. I am running ACS Frozen 1.1.0
I have since rebooted the phone and done another PRL update. It too says successfull but my PRL has not changed.

I'm on stock, though rooted. From what I gather, the prl success has the most to do with your location. I guess for my locations (Brooklyn, NY) 60675 was better for me than 60676. I guess I'll have to play around with the manual prl stuff from xda, to fix the situation. I just hope I won't ruin my phone with that method.
Btw if I make a clockworkmod restore will it give me back my previous prl?
