Version 8.7.630264 - voice commands silence radio

I'm currently running 8.7.630264 on my Pixel.

Starting - this is a guess - in November 2022 I've had a problem where if my radio - FM or AM - is playing, and I do any of the following:

• listen to a text
• dictate a text
• dictate a destination for navigation

the radio audio stops, and does not resume when my voice interaction with android auto ends. I have to manually turn the radio off and on again to get it to play.

If I make or receive a Bluetooth phone call however, the radio will resume when the call terminates.

Are others having this problem? How do I fix it?

What head unit are you using? Is there any firmware update for your car head unit?

I'm using the display on my 2018 Honda Accord.

Update: This morning there was a new user interface when I started AA in my car, so I tried sending a text. The radio audio returned when I'd finished. My phone is still running AA 8.7.630264, so I don't know - the "car side" of the program changed? Anyway, at this moment, for the first time in three months, this problem is solved.
