I got the 199 deal on the S2 for getting the new s7 and ported my kids gizmo pal number to it. Now he has a totally separate phone that does voice and text for $5 a month. I throw this out there because it's working great and it's cheap per month. I like that it's strapped on to him and he can't lose it like the Gizmo Pal. Oh and he is the coolest kid in 2nd grade... and luckiest..

Verizon offers a tracking option for those on family plans. Also get a spare charging stand and a battery pack for when the child is on camp outs and other overnight events. I like this one as it is compact and includes a built in USB connector.
