Why can't I display my files using USB debugging

I set up my Irulu tablet to display files via USB debug, connected the cable, I get a display saying I have two drives K & L. When I try to open either one I get the message to insert media in the drive. What can I do to see and handle the files?

Have you tried turning off USB Debugging?
