Why did my email quit working on my phone and tablet at the same time?

[AC Question]

my email quit working on my phone and tablet at the same time

but is working on my laptop. phone said one time for one account... server password has changed..please enter password. I have a galaxy s3 phone & a LG G LTE 10.1 tablet.
This is not gmail but an "other account" I have 2 account with same provider and both have stopped. It is Road Runner with Time Warner Cable

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried removing the accounts from your Email app, then adding them back again?
