Why is my pixel 7 pro battery dying so fast

I purchase a new pixel 7 pro January 15th I am a very long time iOS user this is my first Android device and I love it but the battery is terrible, I am a truck driver over the road I barely use my phone since I'm driving it's rapidly dying at idle I am on the latest Android 13 I'm not sure if it's a defective battery or what I can't make it no where near 24 hours I'm only getting 2-3 hours screen time

How's your cell signal? If it's poor, that can cause significant battery drain.

My 7 Pro has fantastic battery life, and usually ends the day with anywhere from 50-80%, depending on how heavily I was using the phone. So what you're experiencing is not typical.

As I'm traveling signal varies but I have wifi off Bluetooth off I take my device off the charger at 8 am and start my shift and around 1 pm I'm already at 20% I notice the bad battery when I first got the phone but thought it had to learn but it's awful the idle drain is terrible and I can't come close to 7-9 hours screen on time I've even set display to 1080 and turn the 120 hz off and the other small features

That's clearly abnormal. When the battery gets down to 20%, check your battery stats in the system settings -- what is using the most battery? Make sure to check the system apps as well.

It's worth testing the phone in Safe Mode and see if the battery still drains that fast. If it doesn't, then something you installed is causing the drain. https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/2852139?hl=en
