By the time Google fades away, you'd would have put your files somewhere else. Or buried six feet deep. Google Drive is pretty popular, and when Google does retire services, they give you time to get your stuff out of there.

Yep, it'll outlive me at least. Short of the enactment of extremely strict privacy/personal data laws or regulations, they'll chug along. Companies will always be looking for a way to show off their wares to potential customers. To those looking to sell something, Google is history's most effective concierge.....Google has pretty much perfected that particular service and as long as they can provide that to companies, small or large, they'll prosper.

If they don't change the business, they will completely die between 40 and 100 years, as that's when we will run out of oil, and then electricity, or at least most of it. Without electricity, Google is useless.
