Network Mode
Access Point Names

Do the selections in these two settings play any role in battery life? My wife's D4 drains the battery fast but she doesn't use it much. The phone spends most of its time with her at her work, inside a large grade school. You know the kind, built quite recently (modern construction standards), with cinder blocks making up the majority of the walls.

Of course, her cell reception there is extremely POOR. I took my Galaxy Note II there and had similarly horrible reception.

My thought is that the battery might be draining because the D4's radio is spending a lot of juice trying to locate a strong signal (a futile effort). Would changing those two Mobile Networks settings improve the battery life?

Ideas?

TIA.

One of the first things I do when I get a phone is switch the network mode from Global to LTE/CDMA. Not sure about its battery effects but some people have stated if helps before.
