Your device is corrupt. It cant be trusted and will not boot. How do i fix this?

Device: essential phone
So ive had my bootloader unlocked for the past few weeks and i wanted to lock it again. So i went through the steps in relocking the bootloader, and it came up with this message:

Your device is corrupt. It cant be trusted and will not boot.
I dont onow how to fix this. I need help! So if anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated.

A quick Google shows this is a security issue from an internal scan performed by the device before each start up. Since you've already stated that you have unlocked and then attempted to relock the Bootloader it would appear that something got changed in the procedure. Some suggest doing a factory reset. No one in the handful of threads and articles I looked at reported back if a simple factory reset worked but it is worth a try. In the article below they suggest YouTube as a source for DIY fixes, but most suggest taking it your carrier and having the software reflashed to stock.
