I have noticed something very interesting between 2 different zoom lengths-10x and 30x.

This is really weird but 30x zoom is actually a higher quality image than 10x zoom. I have tested this again and again and again.

At 30x zoom, there are 2 things happening that don't occur at 10x zoom.

Firstly, the OIS stabilises and freezes your previewed image. It's actually super impressive how the OIS completely compensates for your hand movements and gives you a static preview. No hand jitter at all.

Secondly, after you take the pic, there's very heavy post processing that takes a couple of secs but improves the 30x zoom image considerably. Again, this doesn't happen at 10x zoom.

I understand the OIS not kicking in at 10, zoom but don't understand the lack of post processing at that zoom level. It's really odd to have better zoom at 30x than 10x.

I took a few shots of my cat sitting in out living room. They are at 1, 3, 10, 30, 100 times zoom.

The 30 times zoom is quite good considering as well as the 100 times zoom. These are just the sake of comparison.

Day time moon shot

Notice the spec of the moon above the tree?

The camera on this phone is amazing.

I need to get a tripod or something to help hold it steady for zoomed in shots.

That or cut back on caffeine.

Tripods do wonders and the nice thing is they are very inexpensive for phones.

I have no idea what zoom levels I used. These were the first zoom pics I took of my cat, Gifford, standing watch on the neighbor's shed. He was in the next yard about 100 feet away. The zoom is amazing.20220305_114001.jpg20220305_114029.jpg

Finally warm enough to get the fountain out in the pond at my condo complex LOL

1x, 3x, 10x set. First set, night mode off. 2nd set night mode on. Even with night mode OFF, it still seems to pull in more light than there really is. To the naked eye its quite a bit darker than that.

I was going to try to upload zoom photos from the default .6x, 1x, and 3x zooms but it said the files were too large. But everyone else are getting their 10, 20, 30 and 100x zooms uploaded. How do you do it, and can it be done without losing quality on the image?

I wonder if the difference is due to whether your using data or wifi? Or could it possibly be a setting you have for uploading files?

Love these zoom shots! I know I do the same thing with my 21 Ultra and have a couple moon shots too but I am glad this camera is really good too.

The Frontier from 20x approximately 60 feet away. Also as a diagnostic since I had issues with focusing after the 2nd may update, does this look like it focused right? Tag colored out for obvious reasons.
