OTA Update problem

I have a small problem with my Charge OTA update. I woke up one morning and checked my phone which said I have a new update. Excited to get the new Gingerbread update I agreed to install it right away. The phone rebooted like it said it was going to and started the install. About halfway into the update, the little android picture with the box next to it changed to a triangle with an exclamation point and the update ended before it finished. My phone started back up and was still on Froyo with the EE4 update, not EP4. And when I go to Settings>About Phone>System Updates, it says my phone is up to date. What happened ?!? Thanks in advance for any info on this.

the only OTA update i was ever offered was the OTA to GB EE4...

I received a CLNR Charge a few days ago and it did an OTA update to EP4.

I would call VZ support and ask them why you did not get EP4.

there are a number of reasons why this could have happened. Rather than getting a new charge, use odin and flash the stock ep4d image located here:
[ODIN][ROM][EP4D][FACTORY] Full factory restore 2.3.6 with radio - unrooted 12/7/11 - xda-developers

That will bring you to stock, unrooted ep4d. Just like getting the update.
