GoSMSPro vs Stock Messaging (number count)?

I prefer GoSMSPro over the stock messaging app, so my question is two fold.

Can I remove the Messaging icon in the lower tray and replace it with the GoPro icon?

If not, how can I turn the stock Messaging icon from displaying the unread text messaging count? I don't want to have to go into the stock app each time to clear the # each time a text comes in.

Hit the gear in the top left corner when you have the app tray open. From there you can easily delete apps and rearrange them including the docked apps.
