Official name to be the Droid DNA?

The pricing at $199 would be a surprise. $299 is what I would expect. Not to mention the 8X pricing at $199 when it's (supposedly) going be $99 elsewhere.

Minimum advertised != set-in-stone, in-store price.

I never really cared about the name of any phone. That said, sounds pretty dumb

. I will most certainly be getting this however. Here's hoping that Thanksgiving -ish timeline is correct and that , though it looks to be Droid branded, that is is not TOO "droided up" ..

I was hoping it would be the DROID Incredible X - just so we could refer to the phone as the DIX.

I think Verizon already thought about that, which is why its named the way it is.

DLX is kind of dorky. DNA is ok, but dorky too... but on a different level.

Wish it was an Incredible variant.

That being said... name is just a name and doesn't make the device better or worse.

I don't love the name DNA... but it could be worse... could be J Butterfly. Too bad it doesn't look like the J Butterfly though. I wonder what DNA stands for?

If the phone is going to be $199 with a 2 year contract, how much will it be full retail? I would like to keep my unlimited data plan and I heard the only way to keep it on Verizon is if you pay full retail for your phone.

Full retail on a 5 inch HD brand new 4g phone at $599 is pretty wishful thinking. It would be nice but I would lean more towards at least another 50-100$ on it if the specs are close to true.

Secondly DLX will not be the name it is just like what we saw from the "HTC Vigor" it is a prototype code name.

As long as the name isnt HTC Droid DNA 4glte. But its clear that the phone is similar looking to the incredible.. so maybe it will care the Dinc name :P
