So glad to have found this forum.
I recently bought an Incredible. I bought this older phone because of the TV out function...hoping that I would be able to take it over to my mom's house (she has no computer) and show her family photos by hooking it up to her TV. She has a "chunky" TV (not flat screen, in other words.) However, after a lot of trying, we couldn't get the TV out to work at all.
I'm pretty sure it was hooked up correctly. From what I understand, as soon as you plug in the cable, a screen is supposed to pop up with the TV out settings. I never got that screen. Could it be that the USB port on my Incredible is bad? The phone charges fine, and the TV out cable is brand new.
I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to AV stuff, unfortunately. I like the Incredible and really don't want to send it back, but if the TV out function doesn't work, then it's kind of defeating the purpose I bought it for.
Can anyone advise? Many thanks.
