Quick question about unrevoked3

Alright so i rooted my phone a few weeks ago with unrevoked3 for the most recent verizon OTA update. everything went well, except i had to flash a custom recovery for SLCD screens (thanks to upstreammiami). My question is: is it normal for 'S' (S-Off) to be off after rooting? i thought you had to use unrevoked forever to turn s-off/on?

The new Un-revoked now also does the S-off as part of the root.
