Text message "Anonymous" 12/31/69

I don't know where this came from, but there is a text message in my list from Anonymous, new multimedia message and the date is 12/31/69. When I click on it just blanks and slides back to the list of text messages. I can't even get into it to delete the thread.

Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Not sure. You can clear the data from the Messaging App but it will clear all your messages. If that is not a problem, it's located in Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> All Applications -> look for HTC Messaging and select it. There should be a clear cache and clear data button. Try clearing cache first and then see if you can delete the message. If not you can clear data and it will delete all messages.

I had that happen too, but it just went away...cause like you said I couldn't delete it. Weird.

Click on the Messages icon.
Press the menu button.
Click on the Delete icon.
Each SMS thread will have a box to the right of it, select the threads you want to delete the click on Delete.

This will get rid of the entire thread, no need to go into the actual message to delete it.
