Hi, I am rooting a friend's Samsung Fascinate 4G.

It was updated to Gingerbread 2.3.4, so I'm not sure if thats the issue.

I'm following Cyanogenmod's directions for rooting it, but when I get to Step # 9, the device does not show up on "adb devices", if I unplug it I need to start over right? I am waiting up to 5 minutes before even checking to see if it has shown up, and only doing so when the C:\ prompt comes up.

Either way, I have never made it to where the adb shell is a "#" command, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You're right, sorry that was the one thing I left out - I figured the hardware would probably be close enough, any tips on where to root the Telus one then?
