Me too. I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 that didn't like connecting to my PC. The one time it did connect, I tried swapping the bootloader for CWM and soft-bricked it.I'm know this isn't exactly a "root" question but how knowledgable are you on CWM? Having a bunch of problems with it...

Don't know if there's a way you can do it through TeamViewer since I can't even seem to get a USB connection except once in a blue moon. Not sure if it's even possible now that the ROM doesn't boot.
Nope. I tried z4root, Intercept Root, Gingerbreak, and Universal Androot 1.6.2 beta 5 (supposed to work on the Galaxy 5). None worked. I figured I didn't need to root ahead of time either, since I was swapping the factory bootloader for CWM. Now all I get is this screen when I turn it on unless I go into download (upgrade/flash) mode. I don't want to send your thread off-topic so feel free to PM me if you have any suggestions.ur rooted right ?

I don't see why I would need to be rooted to swap the factory bootloader for CWM through Odin unless root access is at a lower level than the bootloader. I don't believe it is.
Yeah, you just lost me at this point. The phone is neither a Galaxy S or Galaxy Nexus.first you need to unlock why you think its not working lol this isnt is not a Galaxy S. this is a Galaxy nexus

You're basically saying I would need Administrator rights on a PC to update the BIOS.
