I don't believe the Note 2 can utilize and HDMI connection. I only see the normal micro USB charging port with means then you can't connect something via an HDMI cable or something of that nature.

Typically on most of my devices the mini usb port also is a mini hdmi as well.

That makes sense. I just checked everywhere that I would think to look for tech specs online and no where does it say anything for HDMI capabilities. I find it odd though they wouldn't include it.

Standard MHL adapters are 5 pin units whereas the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II use an 11 pin setup. If you already have an MHL adapter you can buy a 5 pin to 11 pin converter from Samsung or any number of aftermarket sources; HDTV Adapter TIP (5 to 11 Pin Converter)

An MHL adapter does just work. Poeple seem to be confusing/interchanging things so I will break this down....

1. Your phone needs an HML/Mini USB port and support video out2
2. You need to have an MHL adaper; either 5 pin or 11 pin. The 5 pin is for most devices and the 11 is for newer Samsung devices
3. You need a power cable to plug into the MHL adapter otherwise it won't work
4. You need an HDMI cable to plug into the HML cable
5. Plug the HDMI cable into your TV and marvel at how far technology has come

If you already have an MHL to HDMI adapter it's easier to just spend the $8 on the 5 to 11 pin adapter. Awe hell, give this a try; rE157183w

It wont let me buy it!

Does it say back-ordered? The site has experienced shortages of GSIII and GNII accessories. *Edit* Just checked the site and it's back-ordered.

Where is this magical 5 to 11 pin adapter? I am not paying $40 bucks for the one someone posted a link to. Rather just get the dock for $50 with the half off code I got.
