s3 messed up

Okay, so I tried the ota and it keeps getting stuck at like a quarter then shows the little android guy with a red exclamation. Then I tried a factory reset and that made the messaging app stop working and it still won't update. So....does anybody have any advice till I'm off to Verizon?

Do you use titanium back up,do you have any frozen apps? That's the only thing I can think of.

Sounds like something happened during the process of doing the OTA. Where you rooted while you we're doing the update or stock?

I was rooted but went back to stock like 2 weeks ago. I just rooted again and gonna try to reflash the factory image and hopefully that will fix it. Becausr when i went to verizon they still thought i had they nexus so thats they only phone they can send me. So image gonna try tgat before doing they call and get them to switch it thing.
