Text messages not being received by recipient after KitKat update?

So I flashed KitKat mid last week and everything seemed fine but after testing i've found that my text messages show that they successfully sent but the person who should receive them never does. To test this I sent 4 separate texts to my work device the message still has not arrived but if I text my personal device back with said work device the message shows up. I'm kind of at a loss for what might cause this, never seen it before. I've done the usual of rebooting the device (fast boot disabled) and verified my account is paid etc.. Anyone else encountered this or know of a possible fix?
