How to replace leaked version?

I installed the leak when it came out and now want to replace it with this new update. I removed it from the sd card and did a factory reset but the old leak is still on the phone. Problem is the phone will not recognize the new leak I am trying to flash. Any suggestions? (sorry, i even confused myself writing that)
