text messaging syncing with facebook

Hi, I'm trying to figure out why my texting app syncs with my Facebook friends. I'm not trying to text any of the people that have their number on Facebook, just the people in my contacts. I do not want to unsync Facebook with my people app because I enjoy looking at peoples Facebook picture. I sync with Facebook for HTC Sense, not the app.

If i understand you corectly here is what is happening. You have facebook set to sync with contacts so your contacts include all of your facebook friends. When you go to send a text it looks in your contacts, it isnt a separate store of people, so you see them all in there. No way around it that i know.

About your only option is to delete all the Facebook data from your phone, then manually download the pictures and associate them with your friend's profiles on your phone directly.

Of course, that also means that your friends pictures will not change on your phone when they change profile pictures.
