I know the presale was limited to existing customers, but i know more than a few people personally who opened lines with old VZW phones to get in on the presale and willbe porting from AT&T as soon as they get their new toy.

If anything, this is a good thing as it should cause Google and manufacturers to step up their game even more. I personally am very curious to see what the iphone 5 offers and what Android's response to it is. Seems like the industry is getting a little stale and needs something new and innovative to come along.
