I think it's a matter of semantics. I went into the corp store yesterday and they put me on a list and said they'd put one on the side for me (although I still will be there at opening time). They can't take a physical order until it's in the system and that won't happen until the official release date. So I don't doubt they said they'd hold one for him and he may feel that that's his "order".
