Better internet reception on Note 3 versus Note 2 ?

I've had my new Note 3 for a few days now. I can say I get better internet reception from my Note 3 versus my Note 2. Both are stock phones and purchased through Verizon.

For example, when going up a high rise elevator some 20 floors, my Facebook app now actually updates. When I clicked on a video link while riding the elevator, the video actually played! Niiiiice!! In the past with my Note 2, the phone would have that annoying icon for trying to update.

Everything seems to run a bit faster with my Note 3 as well. Or maybe because it's new with less cr@p installed? My previous Note 2 was getting laggy after having it for a 1-1/2 year.

Nobody else came from the Note 2 and experienced better reception?

It is a bit better for me as well, I get Internet in a building at work that used to be a dead zone.

Better probably due to xlte. But without xlte, my note 3 was a little worse than my note 2. With xlte though...
