Twice now in the last two weeks, I have suddenly lost phone service on my 26 month old Note 3.
The only fix has been to power-off, remove battery & SIM card, wait 5, reinstall battery & SIM card, & power-up. Maybe service comes back right away, maybe it takes a couple tries.
Over on the Verizon forums, people have been getting choleric over this issue, given that it kills the baseline function of a phone - this apparently began happening a lot to some since the Lollipop upgrade months ago. Only the past two weeks with me, so i'm not really looking at the upgrade being responsible, but maybe I've just been lucky till now. Verizon has been advising people to go thru the remove/reinstall card drill as above as a fix. It sounds, frankly, that they don't really have a clue.
It's almost as though the SIM card or its slot contacts ares going bad...
Anyone else?
