Not sure this is 100% correct but if the account changes in any ways (Name included) they will take the unlimited data away. Unless you buy the phone out right and it remains in the persons name. Again I could be incorrect.

No its only when you upgrade on that line and you will lose unlimited.

If the person don't want his unlimited line then they can transfer their line to someone else.

I have an unlimited line i plan on terminating soon. Problem is that I'm on a family plan. I don't think you can just split my one line off and keep the current features of my contract, correct?

I'm looking to transfer my line out, but I need to first investigate porting my number out first. I want to port my number to T-mobile and then I'm down to do an AOL for anyone that wants the unlimited plan.
