Magically disappearing keyboard

I'm still running the stock ROM on by g-tab (the updated one) and have a small annoying problem. While I'm typing an email the keyboard will just disappear for a few moments. Then it will come back and I have to retype the last word I was in. Anyone else run into this? Any ideas (other than root - Rom, not ready to pull that trigger yet)?

I think almost everyone else has gotten rid of the stock ROM. I used it for about an hour before ditching it.

Stock Rom sucks. I bought tablet knowing I would be rooting it immediately. Root. Put cyanogenmod7 on it. You won't be disappointed or frustrated again.
