I have a rooted stock optimus slider. After trying to change the boot video I now can't get past the lg logo. Adb doesn't work but I can boot into recovery but its stock. I have tried naming a new rom update.zip but it says it isn't signed correct. Any ideas?

Did you do a nandroid backup? Or a image backup before you rooted

No I didn't have a custom recovery I thought I didn't need one as iwasnt going to flash new roms and kernels.

I have adb on my computer and it works but if I just let it sit at the lg screen adb doesn't recognize any devices same in the recovery

Do you know how to sign .zips? I think lg has a specific signature but if u can sign a .zip with it you can sign a recovery update.zip and flash a new rom. I doubt ur gonna be able to get the lg recovery to flash a new rom (even changing the name to update.zip). The thing about your situation is its why we flash new recoveries on. If you could adb from lg recovery you may be able to push the stock bootanimation.zip on. How do you know adbs working if it won't recognize the device?

I used it to root plus when I connect my tablet it finds it right away.
