When using Whatsapp, the person I am calling cannot hear me, not sure what has changed?

when using whatsapp, the person I am calling cannot hear me. not sure what has changed.

I am able to ring via whatsapp, but the person cannot hear me and then the call drops

found a solution for me.

Google go was owning my microphone ,once disabling in google settings and restarting my phone everything worked fine.
