Slow downloading

I have an alcatel pixi glitz, I have had it for 2 weeks, the first 2 or 3 days, no problems. Then all at once can't get in the play store, can't get on you tube, and I wasn't able to send texts but cld receive them, texting is fine now. Still no you tube. I have updated, factory reset, updated, but when i am able to get in the play store, downloading is a nightmare. It sometimes takes 3-4 hours to download one thing, and thats after it restarting (on its own) 2 or 3 times. Is there something else i can do, cause yelling at it and threatening it doesnt work. Plz help.

Is this happening on wi-fi, mobile data, or both?

It is happening on mobile data, I haven't tried WiFi yet.

It should be pretty easy to test wi-fi. If you don't have a wi-fi network at home, then go to your nearest Starbucks or something.
