Thanks.. Now if we can find a way to do the books too.

Hopefully Amazon will put this in a future update..

Would make sense if when you hold down an Icon in the carousel that one of the options would be "Remove Item from carousel" Duh.....

Yea, I have a lot of books that I've already read stored in the cloud, I want to get them off the carousel too.

i long press a book, and remove from device, only to have it show up on the carousel again, and the only option is to download or buy. i just want it gone !

I think the update they are releasing withing the next two weeks is supposed address this as well as performance issues

Hmm, try going to applications/all applications then select the Kindle app and clear cache and data... Cleared them from the books on device list as well as carousel. This works for books removed from device.

The new update today from Amazon allows you to delete books from carousel.

update 6.2.1 allows you to delete items from the carousel, just long hold finger over item and press "delete from carousel" when it appears
