Google Pay stopped working yesterday

I've been on Q since Beta 3 and the last time Google Pay updated was June 12.

Suddenly, Google Pay fails with error message "Google Pay cannot be used in stores."

Google Pay Support says it is because, "Bank and network partners doesn't allow to use Google Pay app when your device is rooted, customized or running beta version operating system on your device. These security checks were not running properly on your device because of which necessary action was taken manually because of which you are unable to use Google Pay app."

Anyone else suddenly having issues with Google Pay?

Well good news is beta 5 out right now , see if that might help

Me too. I've become very attached to Google Pay.

Yeah, it's pretty good , I use few Google pay and Samsung pay ,apple pay but not frequently.

Unfortunately, Beta 5 didn't fix it. Google Pay still fails with the same error as above.

I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling Google Pay but not holding out much hope

Thankfully, reinstalling (and/or clearing the app cache) Google Pay has, for the time being, resolved the issue.
