SN3, Kit Kat and battery charge

My phone updated Thursday night and it was on the charger during that time so I didn't notice this: last night I charged from 10 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. and it didn't get a full charge!!! It was about 40% when I put it on. It's this normal and to expected? I clear the cache today thinking it might help but I'd appreciate any ideas and thoughts. Thanks

Out of curiosity, what carrier are u with? Sorry I don't have an answer for your dilemma. However I have read the suggestion that a factory reset seems to clear things up.

With AT&T. I REALLY don't want to do a reset. Seems charging is taking a long time, especially for being usb 3 which it didn't before. That's one reason why I cleared the cache. The cache clearing also took care of my "unstable Wi-Fi" message I've had since I got the phone.
