I have a couple of acquaintances who have turned on a read notification option (note: not delivery notification) on their phones when sending text messages. My opinion is that it's none of their damned business when I read their text.
I do get a notice pop up letting me know a read report has been requested with an "OK" or "Cancel" and I always pick the cancel option. Does this in fact deny the report? Is there any way I can reject this notification automatically?
I've googled the heck out of this and all I can find is how to turn the delivery notification on/off in my own phone, not how to deny a read report for others. I've had other versions of android in the past offer this option but I can't find it in marshmallow.
Any wisdom out there?
