Is there an app that uses WI-DI to control PC?

Is there an app to use WI-DI for a remote for a pc/laptop? I have Unified Remote and it works great on a WIFI system, but I am looking for something that can communicate with my laptop without use of a WIFI router or Bluetooth card...I would like to be able to hookup my laptop to any flat screen and use my phone as a remote without having to use wifi or bluetooth.
