I just bought an Android phone a little over a month ago, but I really haven't been on this forums much yet. Anyway, I tried doing a search on this, but I can't seem to find anything. Does anybody know of a list of apps that work without data once downloaded? I already have maps downloaded onto my phone and I cache Slacker Radio, but I am sure that there are others beyond that. As an aside, one of the reasons I ask is because our family seems to end up in very remote areas fairly often. For example, last weekend we were in a Minnesota State Park where there was no coverage on CDMA or GSM, so I think that planning ahead and having as many apps as possible that work without data would be helpful

I don't know of any resource for you to utilize but it's generally pretty easy to tell if an app requires data based on its description.

I think Google Sky Map does.

I was in Canada last month and had data roaming turned off and was still able to use this app. Maybe it uses strictly GPS?
