I've got a problem with my hangouts android app.
I've got group of friends that doesn't want to put avatars photo on G+ profiles, so I've made my own avatars (from photos) for them and set them in Gmail contacts.
Problem is that, when I'm using hangouts withing gmail page (I mean on PC) in conversation I can see "my" avatars instead of "generic" one (iconic shape of head). However when I'm using hangouts on Android I can see only the generic one. The funny thing is that adroid hangouts "know" about my avatar - when I tap the that generic avatar it shows the contact details and there is "my" avatar.
Any ideas how to make "my" avatars working in hangouts?
