I have a question about those text apps

My kids "mother," and her boyfriend have some sort of text app that changes your phone number every so often when you text people. They are always sending me nasty and/or harrassing text.

I was wondering if there was an app that could counter-act those apps, that unmasked the real number, something that dissalowed the use of the app or false number. They'd have to use their real numbers, or can't contact at all. Something like that. I want to take them to court over it, but that app they use gives them deniability of the acts.

Along with that, I believe carriers retain text messages for a period of time. Even if they use an app to fake a number, they're still using their carrier account to text. You might contact the carrier to verify if they save texts. And then, contact the authorities and a possibly a lawyer. What they're doing is not tolerable by law and they'd be smart to desist or face more grief than they're causing you.
