HTC Sync error message

Hi. I successfully installed HTC Sync and it was recognizing my HTC TB a few days ago. Now, the little icon in the task bar has a red x and I'm getting the following error message: HTC Sync Port of My ADR6400L is not responding. Please disconnect cable and reconnect after 10 seconds.

I've disconnected and reconnected several times. I've rebooted my computer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled HTC Sync, all to no avail. When I open up HTC Sync, it says: No Device Connected. However, my device shows up as a drive on my computer.

How can I fix this? TIA :)
